Get your free key

In your Google Cloud, switch on the YouTube Data API and create a key. The handbook shows every click with pictures.

Paste it once

In iHayz, open the widget and paste the key. It is tested at once, stored encrypted, and never shown again.

Choose the look

Theme, accent, corners, which parts to show. The preview is the real widget at phone, tablet and desktop width.

Paste three lines

Add your website, copy the embed code, paste it where the widget should appear. It renders only on the sites you listed.

Before you ask.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You paste three lines into your page — the same way you would paste a video embed. Everything else is set from your iHayz screen.

Why my own YouTube key?

Because it is free, it is yours, and it means nobody else’s traffic can use up your allowance. Google gives every key ten thousand units a day; one fresh channel reading costs three, and readings are cached. A widget on a busy page serves thousands of visitors a day on one key.

Does the widget ever show a guessed number?

No. It shows what YouTube reports for the channel and sums or ratios of those numbers. The only trend is the newer half of the last twelve uploads against the older half — the API keeps no history, so the widget claims none.

Can I change the colours after it is on my site?

Yes. Change the theme, accent or corners in iHayz and press Save. Every page updates within the cache time; the code on your page stays the same.

What happens on a website I did not list?

The widget shows “This widget is not set up for this website” and reads nothing. Your key and your quota are never spent by a copied embed.

What does it do to my page speed?

Two small files load after your page, and one request fetches the channel. Nothing blocks your content, and no font or script from anyone else is loaded.
